Falling Into Campus Style

As the leaves have been changing colors I've noticed that so have the clothes people wear. There are no longer skimpy shorts worn with racerback tanks and flip flops, or maxi dresses.
So many people that are into fashion have been commenting on what is seen on the runways lately and that's fine, but I'd like to take a different approach to the fall fashions and talk about what I've seen around my campus- after all, what are the odds all of us are going to be able to afford that new Dior coat???

With fall, well, falling between summer and winter, one trend I've noticed is transfoming summer fashions into wearable items for fall. Flowing skirts are now worn with leather boots instead of sandals and vibrant tanks are now worn under muted color blazers or cardigans. These different combonations of clothes can go on for days, and it all depends on your personal style. There are just a few key items I feel every girl shuld have in their closet to go from summery to fall warmth.

Boots: Whether they are suede, leather, long, short, or combat-everyone should have a pair or two.

Big Bags:These are essential on a college campus to carry all of those pencils and notebooks. Who says you need a boring backpack?
Scarves: When rushing out the door for class or a meeting, throwing a bright or patterned scarf around your neck can really make an outfit a little more special.

Cardigans: It's heavy enough so you dont have to get a coat yet and light enough for when the sun comes out. There are also so mant different styles and colors to change up an outfit.
Blazers: Just a cute change from the cardigan, or if you want to look a little more business-like without looking uptight.
Nice Pair of Good-fitting Jeans:Need I say more?

These are just a few key items I happen to own and have seen around campus, there are plenty more. At the end of the day, as long as you love what you wear, nothing else matters.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIL' WAYNE!!!!!!!

OMG so it just hit me that today is the one and only Lil Wayne's bday! I love Lil Wayne and the music he creates, the way he comes up with metaphors is amazing. It takes a real knowledgeable person to be able to put together so many aspects of the world and pop culture to create the crazy ideas and images Lil Wayne is known for. I also applaud him for being able to put together and manage Young Money, home to some of the biggest rappers out right now.

To honor Lil Wayne on his birthday I thought I'd put together a collection of some of his classic videos.
Be sure to go listen to I AM NOT A HUMAN BEING!!!!!! His new album that was relesed on Itunes today.

HAPPY 28TH BIRTHDAY LIL' WAYNE!!!!!!!!!!

My New Obsession

So most people who know me understand that I constantly go through different phases. Right now I'm pretty sure I am in a phase that could be title "Girly Girl". I just love girly things! Whether its lace, pink anything, or cheetah print- I have to have it.

The biggest of my obsessions right now would have to be BOWS....I especially love to where them in my hair.  ---------->
(even better if it's a cheetah print bow!)

Besides hair bows, I think jewelry shaped as bows are also amazing.
While watching this show called I <3 Hipsters I learned of this guy Kiel Mead who makes jewelry out of unsual materials. One of which is a ring he titles " Forget Me Knots". They are the cutest little rings in the shape of rope tied into a bow, I haven't gotten one yet but I hope to get one soon.

Silver Forget Me Knot Ring

Well, this is the end of my first blog...basic, I know, but as I begin to get the hang of things I'll be sure to do more and keep updating!
